We celebrated our first Chinese New Year here in KK and it was very very festive!
Mika had a Chinese New Year celebration performance at school and there are 5 'God of Wealth' greeting us at the main entrance giving out mandarins!

Daddy and I were writing Fai Shuns and Mummy was making special New Year dumplings

On the 15th day of Chinese New Year, the local Chinese here celebrates 'Chup Gor Mei', where lion dances and big fests are the way to celebrate! We were celebrating at our friend's home and we also brought along our very own lion- that's us in the front, with the real deal at the back!

The surprise is the host even got fireworks! I was too scared to watch but apparently it was amazing having fireworks RIGHT ABOVE YOUR HEADS!
