On the weekend we went to Glass house mountain and did a 800M trail walk.

Jump rope for heart

Bean your school has got the Year 4s to participate with 'Jump rope for heart' to fundraise for heart disease research. All from Huang family, Daddy and Mummy, Yeye and MaaMaa and Keith Thornton had helped you with the fundraising.  Meanwhile you did your best at skipping whenever you can. Today you did a demonstration at Assembly on Skier and Scissors jump. So proud of you. 

Jump rope for heart performance

Together with your Year 4 friends Bean performed a demostration on how to do different styles of rope jumping. You all were very proud of how you helped raised money for the heart foundation (school was at that time the second highest fund raiser of the whole of Australia) as well as learning a new fun skill.

Today you gained your blue 1 belt. Well done Bean, Mummy is enbracing our special journey together. 

Brisbane to Sydney road trip

We had a road trip from Brisbane to Sydney and back from 23 June to 2 July. Our route was Fri 23 June Brisbane to Bryon Bay for lunch then Coffs Harbour. Then Sat 24 June from Coffs Harbour to Port Macquarie for lunch then all the way to Sydney. We went to Sydney maknly to see Leon and Eileen's new born daughter Livi. We had a great time as usual in Sydney and was sad to leave family. We then drove up on Sat 1 July from Sydney to Port Macquarie for a night and we did an amazing garden maze which we took 45 mins to find almost all but one item on the list of hidden treasures. We had dinner at a restaurant called The Stunned Mullet and the food was great. We left the next day to have lunch at Coffs Harbour and went to the Sky Pier lookout. After that we stopped at Ballina for fish and chips and then home. You girls had been so well behaved in the car despite the limited leg rooms. Love you so much and hope you will remember this trip.

Term break has started and Bean invited her school bestie Lucinda for a playdate at Lonepine on 11 June 17. 

 

     

Fostering guinea pig

Finally after a long (9 months) break we are having furry friend again. We (except Daddy) all miss having a pet. We brough home Oreo on Saturday from the Qld Guinea Pig Refuge and will look after him until he is tamed. But so far Bean is already talking about adopting him. We were all so excited about this pig.
